On November 29th, RMMSF held a very special ceremony to showcase the new RMMS Foundation Donor wall. The event was attended by over 40 members of the RMMS community- RMMSF members, donors, parents, RMMS staff, retirees, administrators, and students.
Mrs. Sally Myers, former RMMS Interim Director and 4/5 classroom teacher, highlighted the history of fundraising over time since the school’s inception. She made mention of the variety of contributors both organizationally and economically to the event. “Fundraising has taken different forms over the years and we wanted update our wall from the Reach for the Stars and Strive for 25 Campaigns.” Current RMMS Director, Dr. Sue Iwanicki thanked all of the contributors for their support of the RMMS Mission, a mission dedicated to multicultural education and the empowerment of children across racial and economic lines. “Now, more than ever, the mission of our school is so important to our society– to provide children the opportunity to quality education and to become agents of change in our world.” Mrs. Myers and Ms. Denice Feely from the RMMS Foundation’s Endowment Committee unveiled the new wall.
